The Ministry of Home Affairs is inviting applications for the Capacity Building and Development Coordinator position as part of its 2025 recruitment drive. The vacancy is open to motivated, qualified, and interested candidates. According to the official notification, only one position is available. The selected candidate will initially be appointed for 12 months, with the possibility of extension for a second and third year based on performance. In exceptional cases, the tenure may extend to a fourth year, but no further extensions will be granted.

Candidates must have at least seven years of progressively responsible experience in national or international law enforcement. However, those without an advanced degree must have a minimum of nine years of relevant experience.

Required Qualifications for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2025:

The educational qualifications for the 2025 recruitment in the Ministry of Home Affairs are as follows:

Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in law, police administration, law enforcement, security studies, criminal justice, business, international relations/public administration, change management, or a related field. A first-level university degree with relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to an advanced degree. Specialized training in reform, planning, community policing, and training is highly preferred. Additionally, candidates must have graduated from a certified national or international Law Enforcement Training Institution.

Applicants must be fluent in spoken and written English. Proficiency in a second official UN language, preferably Arabic, is an added advantage.

Rank Requirement: Candidates should hold the rank of Superintendent of Police, Lieutenant Colonel, or an equivalent or higher rank.

 

Work Experience for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2025:

Candidates applying for the Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2025 must meet the following work experience requirements:

• A minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in national or international law enforcement.
• If the candidate does not have an advanced degree, they must have at least nine years of relevant experience.
• Five years of active policing experience at the policy-making level is mandatory. This should include strategic planning and managerial experience in one or more of the following areas: police operations, crime management, police capacity building, training and development, change management (especially in law enforcement), reform, and restructuring.
• Extensive practical experience in community policing is highly desirable.
• Prior peacekeeping experience with the UN or similar international organizations is an added advantage.

Tenure for Ministry of Home Affairs Recruitment 2025:

As per the official notification, the selected candidate for the position of Capacity Building and Development Coordinator, P-4 will be appointed for an initial period of 12 months. This tenure may be extended for a second and third year based on performance. In exceptional cases, the appointment may be further extended to a fourth year, but no additional extensions will be allowed.
